Perry Distributors has served Eastern Kentucky and Southeastern Ohio for over 70 years. We are a locally owned beverage distributor built on accountability, strong relationships, and the drive to keep our region moving forward. Our story began with family, and today that definition has grown. Every member of our team contributes to who we are and what we deliver.
We take pride in representing great brands and executing with consistency day in and day out. From route operations and logistics to retail support and brand building, we focus on excellence in every step of the process. When our trucks arrive, retailers know they can count on a partner who follows through.
Our people are the difference. Drivers, warehouse crews, merchandisers, sales professionals, and office support all play a direct role in the quality customers experience in store coolers, bars, restaurants, and everywhere our products are enjoyed. Their commitment reflects our reputation.
We invest in our workforce, our equipment, and the communities that sustain us. Local jobs, strong service, and steady growth matter here. We show up, we stand behind our work, and we do right by the places we call home.
That is Perry Distributors. Steady. Local. Built by the people who live here.
Perry Distributors has deep roots in Eastern Kentucky, beginning in the early 1900s as Hazard Cold Storage and Ice Company. Conway Ficklen established the business when ice was essential for everyday life, and beer was initially a secondary product. The company operated through the challenges of the National Prohibition Act of 1919 and adapted as refrigeration advanced and the region’s needs changed.
In 1948, Mr. Ficklen sold the business to James Frederick “Fred” Snyder, who expanded the beer portfolio and brought the Budweiser brand into the company’s lineup. Demand for beer surged throughout the 1950s, and on March 9, 1953, Fred Snyder sold out to Mr and Mrs Farmer J Eversole, parent of Jeanne Eversole, the business officially became known as Perry Distributors Inc. and secured its position as an Anheuser-Busch wholesaler.
That same year, Don Fields joined the company. He married Jeanne Eversole in 1960, and together they helped build the foundation for the modern Perry Distributors. Don committed more than five decades to the company, eventually serving as COO, Vice President, and Equity Manager while remaining actively involved in daily operations. Don passed in 2020.
Don and Jeanne raised three children: Don Jr., William (Bill), and Danny Fields. Don Jr. and Danny play key roles in the business today. Bill Fields joined full-time in 1987 and now serves as Equity Manager and COO. In 2018, Kirsten Fields Stidham became the fourth generation of the Fields family to work in the business, currently serving as Director of Operations. Shane Stidham joined the company in 2016 and now operates as the General Manager.
Today, Perry Distributors remains proudly locally owned and operated. We are built by the people who work here and supported by the communities we serve. Our team is the core of our identity. Every driver, warehouse employee, merchandiser, sales professional, and office member carries our reputation with them on every route and in every store.
We show up, we follow through, and we strengthen local jobs. The Fields family and our entire organization remain committed to delivering dependable service, representing great brands with pride, and investing in the future of Eastern Kentucky.
This is Perry Distributors.
